Claire Poeckes is a third-year student at the University of Iowa College of Law, and she graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and B.S. in Psychology from Coastal Carolina University. Her professional and research interests focus on disability law and policy and its interactions with criminal law, health law, administrative law, and constitutional law. Claire had an interest in disability law and policy prior to both undergraduate school and law school, but that interest became a focus through majoring in Political Science and Psychology and writing her honors thesis for Psychology on the perceptions of the disabled community.
